How to convert speed.
Speed compares a distance with a time interval. One meter per second equals 3.6 kilometers per hour. A knot is one nautical mile per hour, which is exactly 1.852 kilometers per hour.
km/h = mph × 1.609344. m/s = km/h ÷ 3.6.

Speed is non-negative here. Pace (minutes per mile or kilometer) is a reciprocal measure and is not a speed unit. Mach numbers depend on conditions such as air temperature, so they are not included as a fixed conversion.
