How to convert volume.
Volume measures the space a substance occupies. One liter is 1,000 milliliters, and a cubic meter holds 1,000 liters. US and imperial liquid measures differ: a US gallon is 3.785411784 liters while an imperial gallon is 4.54609 liters.
Milliliters = liters × 1,000. Liters = US gallons × 3.785411784.
